My Favorite Companion

“Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate.”
Sigmund Freud (psychoanalyst)

Dogs are the most loyal living creature in the world, faithful than humans.  When I bought Madie, lot of people saying I’m out of my mind.  Spending so much money on pure breed dog may be crazy to others, but not at all for me.  The satisfaction that my dog is giving me is priceless.  Most of the times, I prefer spending time with her than going out with friends or acquaintances.  People who are not a dog lover does not understand why I’m giving so much attention to dog or dogs than people around me, because even if you shout at them when you’re in a bad mood, they don’t hate you, unlike people.

When I bought Madie, she was just three months old and shy type.  My precious dog was separated from her mother at young age, so I understand why she just stayed in one corner and so anxious of me.  As she grew up, she becomes playful.  The good thing about her is, she is not a barker that is why Madie liked by neighbors.

I remember an incident while we were walking and my friend accidentally hit my back; Madie barked at her.  I love the feeling, that even she is not trained to be your protector, it’s their instinct to protect their pack leader when they sense something that would hurt you.

Every time I go out, she just stays at the hallway and waits for me until I come back.  Well, three days was the longest vacation I took, I can’t stay and enjoy my every vacation when I know leaving her all alone pained me.  If only I can bring her all the time, I would love to do it for sure.

A dog is my happiness.  For me, I can’t imagine life without dogs. Even if I die, I still prefer a dog to be my companion, but “if there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.”

– Will Rogers (actor, Connecticut Yankee)

Happy 4th birthday to my baby!
