Bad Teacher

With all that you’ve done;
The hits, the pain
I took each one;
I never complained,
I obeyed.

I followed your steps,
And did as you said;
Never questioned,
Never doubted,
I didn’t use my head.

I tried to learn,
To read and to write,
But I still couldn’t do,
What I was supposed to;
And for you, I was still
No more than a child.

And now I find,
That I will never learn,
To read and to write,
You were a bad teacher,
And it was always you,
Who was the child.
