Branches and Bones

A new way was paved;
The living paid their dues,
Money they gave,
And our lives too.

We were just weeds,
Pulled from our roots,
The cause of sweat beads,
Off of their youth.

What’s another five,
Or seven of us?
When thousands of lives,
Could easily pass?

I only wish they took me,
Along with my brothers.
What’s a lonely tree,
Without any others?

What can one alone,
Do more for the rest?
For branch or for bone,
What can one get?

This is Crazy

The planets are predictable,
With their orbits and gravity;
He knew where to find them,
Wherever they may be.

He came to memorize,
What time and where,
He should sit or rise,
To accommodate them.

He fell in love with Saturn,
Neptune and Mars.
But the planets didn’t think much,
Of his unwavering love.

As long as they could pass by,
They couldn’t care less,
How hard he tried,
To look his very best.

But on days he was gone,
Looking for other things to love,
The planets vowed,
To again, love no one.

This is Anger

The world is untouchable,
That’s why he ruined the galaxy.
He threw all his hate,
And the stars became the debris.

In space, he could shout
As loud as he wants,
And no one could hear him,
Not even the world he loves.

Satellites became his friends,
Whom he spoke to often.
There was always a conversation,
Without a reply from them.

It sure was lonely,
Up there in space.
Yet there he was happy,
To spend all his days.

Overgrown

Flowers stop blooming,
Once it has bloomed,
The rain stops pouring,
After it has poured.

You grew a garden in my heart,
You made it rain love,
You saved me from harm,
Until the thunder finally struck.

Lightning made me numb,
Raindrops made me frigid,
I can’t hear my heart’s thrum,
And the garden is now flooded.

You were my saving grace,
Then I lost my faith,
Hope buried me to my grave,
When love was too faint.

Leave me in this chaos,
Where the ground is barren,
Overgrown with vines and moss,
Where your love is poison.
